Hi
New here. After being referred to SAU due to pelvic pain and having a dye infused scan I have been referred for a colonoscopy. I asked at SAU if they thought I had cancer and they said they can’t say for certain until further tests. Faces looked serious and two Drs came to give me results.
i had my regular stool sample test for bowel cancer in May last year and it came back OK. I am in pain and exhausted and feel sick a lot. But have been prescribed antiemetics to handle that.
I’m not looking forward to the colonoscopy particularly the prep as I am hugely emetophobic. But know I just have to get on and do it.
Hi AprilH, ask for piccolax bowel prep. It's much less to drink, so much less likely to feel or be sick.
The good news is, you had a clear bowel test just last year.
Thanks for the tip, I’ll call the hospital tomorrow and request it, assuming they have it.
