Hello and as a new member of this group I thought I should introduce myself. I am Peter and am 81 years of age and currently getting 2 weekly chemo at Charing Cross Hospital, Hammersmith. I moved to London in March to live with my Family in Hanwell, Ealing.
l was born in Nottingham and moved here from Lincolnshire.
My cancer is terminal and I am just about to have my 30th session of chemo. I also have a heart problem having a Pacemaker and Defibrillator.
i am still mobile and manage to get to appointments on public transport but my walking capability is around one to one and a half miles.
Thank you I look forward to being a useful member of the group
Hi Firey Pete and a warm welcome from me too. You sound to be doing really well - 30 rounds of chemo is no mean feat and neither is your walking distance. Very inspiring and keep it up.
Thankyou for sharing and I’m sure you’ll be an asset to the group
Take care

Welcome! All things considered, you’re doing fabulously well! You should be proud!
This journey can be a tough one. I just take it one step at a time, one day at a time and try to celebrate on all those little achievements! I sometimes feel like I’ve been in a few rounds with Tyson - but hey, we all just have to keep fighting to the very best of our abilities.
I’m sending you some positive vibes your way!!
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
