Hi in July 23 I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer through the bowel screening. Previous to this I no symptoms. Because the tumour was on the anal verge I have had to have a permanent stoma they also removed rectum. Before surgery I had 25 rounds of chemoradiotherapy which did shrink the tumour. They removed 5 lymph nodes which were all clear. But some of the cells around the tumour showed pre cancerous at micro level. I now have to have 4 cycles of CAPOX. Due to waiting times for IV they have started me on capecitabine 5000 mg per day. I will start the IV on second cycle. Has anyone else had this?
Hi Fantines and a warm welcome to the board. Capox/xelox is a commonly used chemo for bowel cancer and there’s lots of top tips in the post link below
