Good Morning all,
I have / had Rectal cancer ,operated on in October . i have also had one light and one heavy session of chemo , which has been a nightmare and have been told last week that i can't have anymore. i am emptying my bag 11/12 times a day and taking codeine phosphate and loperamide.
I'm so fed up /depressed because i cant have chemo, as i don't know whether there is any cancer still inside me ? I have been told i will be entering a new program of close monitoring.
I saw the surgeon last week and i presume my reversal ,is being looked into and booked.
Regards
Mark.
Hi m...... Were you having chemo because of affected lymph nodes or because they were unable to get clear margins? It sounds like you have a very active stoma? Is your output very liquid? Things like jelly babies, marshmallows, wine gums can help thicken your output and there’s lots of info on the board below
Ileostomy, colostomy and stoma support
Hope you get a reversal date soon
Take care
