Hi all, my name is Michael, currently undergoing a 6 month course of oral chemotherapy for bowel cancer. (I reached the half way point this week!) Had surgery back in August (a Panproctocolectomy) after which i was diagnosed with stage 2 bowel cancer (prior to this I was advvied it was low grade displasis following a routine colonoscopy for colitis in June, however cancer was confirmed after the operation) so its been been quite the journey so far! Currently getting use to life with a stoma, and looking forward to finishng chemo in about 3 months time. Macmillian have been a great support over the last few months, and was delighted to complete their Walk 50 miles challenge back in November.
Just saying hi and all the best with your treatment.we seem to have a very similar history and I dont know about you but I find the stoma much better and easier than dealing with the colitis.people find that strange I know.
Anyway if you want to ask anything please do
Kath
