Hi all, my name is Michael, currently undergoing a 6 month course of oral chemotherapy for bowel cancer. (I reached the half way point this week!) Had surgery back in August (a Panproctocolectomy) after which i was diagnosed with stage 2 bowel cancer (prior to this I was advvied it was low grade displasis following a routine colonoscopy for colitis in June, however cancer was confirmed after the operation) so its been been quite the journey so far! Currently getting use to life with a stoma, and looking forward to finishng chemo in about 3 months time. Macmillian have been a great support over the last few months, and was delighted to complete their Walk 50 miles challenge back in November.

  • Just saying hi and all the best with your treatment.we seem to have a very similar history and I dont know about you but I find the stoma much better and easier than dealing with the colitis.people find that strange I know.

Anyway if you want to ask anything please do

  • Hey Michael. I'm at the beginning of my journey so very new to this, but wanted to say a big well done on the walk.

    Hope the treatment goes well.
