Hi, I’m new to the community. I was diagnosed with bowel cancer in September 23 and had a resection, however I am struggling with constant worry it will come back and my first blood test after my surgery is showing high CEA levels despite reassurance from my cancer team nurses that this could mean anything and is unlikely to have reoccurred so soon I also have Crohn’s disease I’m looking for help with constant worry does anyone else feel like me ? Thanks

Some have found this a helpful read and also we have counselling through Bupa you might wish to access
Our helpline staff would give you the details .
But you are not alone .
Getting a feel for your own pattern does give you more confidence. Particularly with crohns . I have noticed patterns emerge with my mum . They would scan if a pattern of upward trajectory developed but frequently my mums would drop back down itself.
Take care

Hi Barney boomer Yes we all feel like that but each clear scan and test will push the doubts a little further back in your mind. You might find this helpful too?
Take care
