Good morning,
A month ago I was diagnosed with a tumour in my Cecum after being admitted to hospital with appendicitis. I underwent an emergency right hemicolectomy. I’m now a month post op and recovering well. Last Tuesday the hospital confirmed that I had stage 3 tumour which had affected 2 out of the 24 lymph nodes they took. Today, I had a mammogram and ultrasound sound for another lesion they found on CT, the consultant doesn’t think it’s anything to worry about but will talk to the MDT team tomorrow to check they are also happy for them not to do a biopsy. I’m currently awaiting an appointment to meet the oncologist in preparation to start chemotherapy.
Hi Rac and good to hear that you’re recovering well from the op. Your team sound to be very efficient and you’ll have been well checked over before starting chemo. Not sure which chemo you’ll be having but Capox/xelox is often used so I’ve attached a link to out chemo top tips post which you might find helpful?
Take care
