Hi, I'm 1 week post surgery, lost my transverse and descending colon, part of kidney and stomach, bit of a shock, can't get past my anger at gp who wasted 6 months giving me useless antibiotics. Thank god for the bowel test kit, within 4 weeks of test I had emergency surgery. Please tell everyone to do the test if it is sen
I'm sorry you have had to go through all this. GPS really need to get their act together. I was going to mine with so many red flags only to be told I had health anxiety. Thank god for screening for the 60 year old.
I changed my doctor immediately and he has been fantastic with me. They are so busy and only have a limited time with each patient but, in order to put parents forward for screening we need to meet a criteria.
It's very sad that we end up with tumours that might have been treatable at an earlier stage.
Mine was an early stage but could have easily developed and spread had it not been for the screening.
I was angry at everything for some time. This has cost me my health and relationship breaking down.
I can only advise you speak to another doctor and perhaps go for counselling x
Thank you, its sad to hear others are getting the same poor service from GPS. Please everyone tell your friends and family to do the bowel screening test
