Hi all just joined currently going through chemo, I had an emergency operation on my bowel 2021 tumor found just above my appendix which had died and set up an abcess. That was followed by 4 rounds of chemo, the first scan was clear but the second showed a spot on myiver and right ovary. I had a second operation last December 2022 liver spot removed both ovaries removed and a further nodule on my diaphragm. Histology came back clear however further scan shows another spot on the diaphragm so I'm now having more chemo, iv plus coming home with a pump via a picc line. The picc line is proving to be a bit of a problem as it seems I don't like the cleaner or glue on the dressing but hopefully the hospital can sort it out. Sorry for the long ramble.
Hello Loveyoga.

Hi Loveyoga and a warm welcome to the board. A lovely lady on here describes it as ‘whack a mole’ where you keep plodding along treating each new thing as it pops up. The picc line is great for those difficult to find veins but it sounds you maybe could be allergic to the dressing? Hopefully the nurses will be able to find an alternative for you
Plesse don’t apologise for ‘rambling’ - we’re hear to listen and send hugs when needed so ramble away!
Take care

I have a portacath. You could ask your oncologist or CSN whether it would be suitable for you.

Welcome to the forum .
Hope they can sort out the reactions to your picc line sorted soon . You have been through a lot but sounds as though you have also tolerated it well .
My mum has been in and out of treatment for 14 years but lots of breaks in between to draw strength .
Are they planning on further surgery ?
No need to apologise. We love to get to know people and let’s us engage from a more informed place .
Take care ,
