Hi Everyone ,
so husband had his liver resection back in May and had his primary tumour taken out end of June. We have just had all his results from his latest mri and histology and we have been told he has 8 new tumours in his liver now we have to hope the chemo works for him to possibly enable another liver operation. We both feel so scared and upset. Just cannot believe in less than 3 months that many tumours have grown. Please can anyone offer any hope

Hi Gonzo
Its so disappointing to hear and some people are fortunate in that there is no additional micro disease to surface and one resection is sufficient but certainly for a lot of people it takes a second to clear the microscopic disease . This is exactly what happened to mum . Three months after her first resection there was five new tumours . It was so devastating but back into treatment and once again a second liver resection removed 73% and all the disease was gone .
She went to a centre of excellence the second time so they could do the larger resection .
Take the time you both need to draw breath and then back to the next plan .
Much love to you both .
