Hi everyone
I've recently been diagnosed with stage 4 goblet cell carcinoma of the appendix which has also spread to me ovaries and peritoneum.
I am due to start 6 months chemo in a couple of weeks and have been referred to Basingstoke to be considered for surgery.
I'm 53 years old and have 14 and 18 year old sons.
Hi LoobyLou
Wishing you great success and lots of shrinkage with your chemotherapy. Hope the meeting with the surgeons opens up other avenues too . How wonderful to have two great boys . I got two also . They will power you through this .
Take care ,

I also have rare appendix cancer diagnosed a year ago. After 6 months FOLFOX chemo I had surgery at Basingstoke 6 weeks ago and am recovering at home. They removed 2 large masses which were my ovaries and part of my omentum. I also had HIPEC treatment whilst in surgery. They were unable to remove all the cancer so I am starting on Capeciteben tablets next week. If you have surgery at Basingstoke and want any more info I am happy to chat about it. Also would be interested to know if anyone can give me their experiences of oral chemo especially capecitebene. Thanks.
