Why is it since I finished radiotherapy and chemo tablets I can't stop eating I have put on the weight I lost before I found out I had cancer and I was rather happy I did as I have been trying to loose weight all my life and never did. But no matter how much I eat, it does not seem to fill me up. Anyone else had this. Or ideas as to why it is or is it just in my head.
Hi Unfair2
We have had a few people on the forum report that . If you look at the search function ( magnifying glass at the top right hand side ) you will find older posts .
I think the steroids might have a part to play for some people . But I am no Dr ! I also think how you process anxiety for some people might be a contributing factor but we have had people report that it was unusual for them to gain weight but did so through treatment. Powerful drugs I guess .
Our helpline staff could put you in touch with one of the nurses if you would like to chat it through with them and get some guidance .
My friend put on weight through treatment for a different primary cancer . She was pretty gutted .
Take care ,
