Hi. I'm a 45-yr old male. Last week I was told I likely had colon cancer following a colonoscopy. Today I had my prognosis following a biopsy at the colonoscopy and a CT scan. I didn't exactly take everything in today, but out of all the possible outcomes my mind had, it's probably the third best. I'm going to have my ascending colon removed. They did say that there were 3 swollen lymph nodes but that doesn't mean it's spread... and it hasn't gone in to the bowel wall... and they will do more testing afterwards. No stoma or chemo is currently foreseen. They did say it was stage 2-3, which sounds bad, but maybe it isn't if they are able to cut it out.
