Hi everyone. My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic colon cancer on 3rd January. Since then life has been like a runaway roller coaster ride, with highs and lows, all of them scary and constantly being out of control. Our daughter got married, we were told the cancer was incurable. Then chemo started, my husband was hospitalised with infection. Then his bowel became obstructed and he had to have emergency surgery. He is still in hospital and I am waiting to get him back home again. Amazingly, we are at peace because the standard of care, the compassion and excellence of those looking after him has been such a blessing. We don't know what is next but we do know that we will face it together and every day I get with him is a good day!

I wish him a steady recovery.
