Well after 11 rounds of chemo, the CT scan shows the tumours in his liver and bowel have shrunk. Alongside this though his blood markers have gone up in the last 3 blood tets and are now back above 100 so MRI of his brain next week.
Snow and strikes meant we were over an hour waiting to see Dr. Ended up seeing his registrar who was obvs in a hurry to get through the backlog. I guess we just hang on for another few weeks waiting for results of MRI before we know the full picture. Feel a bit sad we aren't able to celebrate results of the CT scan properly because there are still unanswered questions and no idea what will happen next.
Hi Safin
Great results so that part is wonderful news . Chemotherapy itself can cause CEA markers to rise . My mum had it both years she was on it .
Does your husband have other symptoms that suggest some neurological involvement?
Best to get checked but still room for some hope .
Take care
