Hi there
I was diagnosed with cancer three weeks ago and found out on Friday that it doesn’t look like it’s spread. I am beyond relieved, as I had worked myself up convinced it had spread to my liver. My op is on 4 January, so I’m making the most of this time before I need to start my treatment. I don’t know whether I will need chemo after yet.
Hi @Snowdrop1234. No spread is good news - focus on getting your ducks in a row before the op and worry about the chemo when and if you get to it. I’ve attached a link to a booklet about the op which has a list of things to pack - the extra long charging cable is a good idea

Thank you. I’ll definitely be giving that a read as I haven’t had a meeting yet, only spoken to the cancer nurse. I don’t really know what to expect. It’s been a long road to my diagnosis and a big shock to find out it’s cancer, as it was hidden during the first two attempts to remove the polyp.
Here’s the one I was given at my first meeting - it’s explains some of the terminology and staging etc.
