Over and out

Hi

I've been on here a while trying to offer positive support to those who have recently been diagnosed, or are living with cancer. I feel so lucky in that I have come out of what was a very bleak prognosis, and thanks to major surgery, am now back to feeling so fit and strong and able to take on the world. I've had my rear end dramatically redesigned and my innards reengineered but me and Eddie are perfectly in tune. The training for self irrigation will be the icing on the cake.

It's clear that others on here have not been so lucky, and are going through a difficult time.

Thankfully, there are many wonderful people on here to offer help, guidance and support based on their own experiences, and so I'm going to step back as I feel I can't empathise with the difficult times some are experiencing as I have sailed through my own journey so far, albeit I believe very much that my own positive and pragmatic mindset has been a large factor in this. I'm LIVING with cancer and WILL NOT let it dictate the terms.

I wish everyone on here the best of luck with everything and in parting would simply (without wishing to preach) reiterate that the human mind is a very powerful thing and we all can tap into the positivity that can help.

  • Hi  Thankyou so much for what you have contributed to the board. I totally understand where you’re coming from and I shall miss your humour and poetry although I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to look at Cornish pasty without thinking about your bottom! See no evil

Wishing you all the best for a happy healthy future

    Take care

    Had a pasty bum

  • Hi

I’m disappointed to read your post, and sorry to see you stepping back but I can understand your reasoning. I hope you’ll still pop into the stoma support group as your positivity is a huge motivator I’m sure when people are struggling, and your sense of humour is a breath of fresh air!

I’m a huge believer in positive thinking and your mindset influencing how things go, so your contributions will be missed.

Take care, and hope to see you again.
