Hi, I had key hole small bowel resections six weeks ago to remove two, separate, NETs. I'm having increasing amounts of pelvic pain. I'm wondering if a nerve for damaged. Does anyone have any experience of this? Also lots of digestive spasm/pain after some foods that lasts for hours. Does anyone have any experience of this?
Thanks.
Hi Marypen
Welcome to the forum and a big apology I missed your post . I am running around after my mum just now and things are a little hectic !
Is that a neuroendocrine tumour you have had removed ? People do report some pain but it is always best to check that out with your surgical team just to ensure it’s within the realms of normal and does not require their intervention. Some people keep food diaries to see what triggers the reaction . It’s still early days . But contacting your specialist nurse or surgeon’s secretary really can help determine if your on the right path without complications .
My mum developed post op adhesions that caused a bit of pain .
You could always contact our helpline staff as the nurses may be able to guide you more . Or Bowelcancer U.K. has a nurse you can email for advice.
