Hi Everyone!
Here I am again! Giving an update on Jay. He's not too bad today. Not 100% yet but slightly better. Still very tired and sluggish and going for afternoon naps which he never does. Ate his dinner tonight a bit of steak and some steamed veggies but left a wee drop carrot- which I gave to the dog. His voice is still a bit squeaky and hoarse and he's not his usual `booming volume` I usually have to tell him to turn it down a decibel and just now I have to actually ask him what he's saying. He had an egg sandwich at lunchtime today as well, so his eating is slowly coming back. He's not doing his usual `comfort eating` though he usually sits and has a bag of crisp or a small bag of popcorn while watching TV at night or his favourite bag of peanuts, but he's not even been doing that. Just eating his dinner and night and drinking loads. I've been making dinner and lunch as well which is usually his domain and he said he thoroughly enjoyed his dinner last night and I said to him `tastes better when someone else makes it for you` and he said `well the jury is still out on that one` but the gravy was good so that `sarky comments` are still in there which I've been missing this week. He wants to watch the Glasgow Rangers match on TV tonight, so I know he feels that bit better he didn't even want to watch the match at the weekend but then again, they're not doing too great just nowand he said thank god he gave up his season ticket. Jay and Willam had season tickets for Ibrox for 21 years but because of Covid etc they gave them up. He has an appointment at the opticians on Thursday too when I contacted the Beatson cancer nurse last Friday because of the way he was he told her he is having slight blurred vision just now so don't know if its the chemo treatment or not and she said to get to the opticians and get his eyes tested and the wee receptionist went right out of her way to get him an appointment when I explained what was happening that and for the fact he has diabetes too but then he got a diabetic eye screening a couple of months ago at hospital and it came back as his eyesight being ok or no change to the previous test and then he got an eye test at the optician because he gets those yearly now because of the diabetes and it was ok too. Ah well maybe back tomorrow or the next day but good to know you are all always here to rant to. Take Care
Vicky xx
