Performed at Arrowe Park hospital, close on 2yrs ago.2 weeks ago had reversal of ileostomy,so fingers crossed coming to an end of my journey.Robot scars difficult to see now, only the one where the colon is removed below belly button.Took a while to get up to fitness.I was in hospital for 10 days, slightly longer than normal due to my bowel did not wanting  to work after operation,it took 3 days to kick in.I was weak after op,but the body is a great thing & gradually got there. Now I'm at the stage of using my colon for first time in close to 2yrs.After 2 weeks my toilet issues easing & my hole in side seems to be healing.Hole size approx 25mm (1").My next issue, which is nice,is going abroad on holiday, want the correct insurance, any help would be great, thats why I joined forum.A friend of my daughter had an experience abroad & not covered in small print, cost £17000 to get flown home. For this reason may keep clear of comparison sites.
