I am new here so wanted to say hello
like most it’s been a hectic couple of months. Diagnosised with rectal cancer couple of weeks ago after going through various scans. Thought there was something on breast and liver but those both clear. Thank goodness.
going for my first treatment of radiotherapy on Monday, terrified. Any tips?

Hi Smiley Mo. I live In Cardiff ,and underwent 5+ weeks of Radiotherapy. The actual treatment is nothing to be Terrified of,and everyone is so lovely. Karans advice is excellent. But the only difference Is..We didn,t have to undress or wear a gown I just wore Loose trousers or Elasticated skirt, and pulled them down to my lower pelvis area. They then covered below that..Each day,I had to drink 2 glasses of water 20 minutes before treatment..I wish you all the best, and you can,t go wrong with Karen, and Court's Help and advice.
Love Belzy.
Hi Belzy
thank you for replying. I think it is the unknown and what side effects I may have that makes me scared, as I feel perfectly well in myself at the moment.
thanks for the heads up re trousers. I shall wear some baggy tracky bottoms. Yes I was told had to drink water before the procedure .
love smileymo
