Firstly that is an amazing response to chemo. Well done on that front as it is half the battle and a very good thing to be Chemo responsive .
My mum had a solitary lung met removed and they were running a clinical trial to see if there were significant gains over surgery or chemo in the lung as the science is not through yet apparently. They actually wanted to put my mum on the clinical trial . She declined and went for surgery .
They did highlight with the lung that the number and location of the spread matters . It might be a good idea to have a consultation with a lung specialist as there were aspects that we had not considered.
Do you know how many mets you have ? Some people use Radio frequency Ablation . Again there is a criteria but worthwhile finding out if you meet their criteria.
We always consulted with specialists in the field .
Our helpline staff would be happy to chat these aspects through with you .0808 808 0000

Oh that’s fantastic news . You must be delighted to hear that .
I hope your next lot of chemotherapy goes well . My mum had one lung met removed via keyhole surgery and it was much easier than her bowel/liver resection.

She had surgery called Vats . They deflated her lung , removed the tumour , re inflated her lung. Roughly around an hour but kept her in recovery a while long just to be sure it had gone well .
Home two days later with one small two inch scar under her armpit . She has never looked back . Her lungs remained clear as that was 2016 . No issues with her breathing .
Hope that helps . If it’s keyhole it’s a walk in the park compared to liver/lung open surgery . Not everyone gets keyhole though and that’s a tougher recovery by all reports .

Hi. I had two very small Lung mets.removed by RFA - Radio frequency ablation, which is extremely easy & a non invasive procedure - that only requires a night in hospital. However, it depends on the size, the site & the depth. So, perhaps questions for you to ask.
Best wishes
