Nearly one year ago I went for a sigmoidoscopy thinking I had haemorrhoids, turned out to be rectal cancer. One year on, I am in a very good place, and excited to see if my experience can give other women diagnosed with rectal cancer some comfort and solace. Firstly…. This is not your fault. Secondly, do not look backwards, it doesn’t help. Thirdly, do not obsess with “what if” - until you have some data or facts, it is just an opinion! I have grown more as a person in the last year as I did in a lifetime before, and I am grateful for that experience. To quote the grateful dead….. once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right….!
I really like this upbeat post. Maybe we can all think of quotes or thoughts for the day.
Thanks.
Ann
