Hi,
42, married, father of 2 young boys.
Diagnosed last June. Rectal tumour, bowel obstruction, emergency Hartmans op, primary tumour removed, Colonostomy. Lung metastases remaining and receiving palliative chemo.
It's been a crazy year and it just keeps on going.
So much to process. It's a lot to come to terms with.
Welcome
It certainly is and you have been through a lot .
How are you getting on with the treatment ? Is it keeping the lung mets at bay ? Do you have any other options available to you to manage them ! It always pains me that Dr Ladas retired from lazer surgery in London . I think there is only one man able to do it in the world now in Germany .
My mum had a surgical option in her lung met which I have to say was relatively straightforward. They all come with a criteria including radio frequency ablation which is according to my mum’s oncologist giving the surgeons a good run for their money !
Two boys will keep you busy ! I have two older boys safely arrived in adulthood now . ( well I think they are , one keeps disappearing out the door !)
Still very early days to process so much though . If you click on my user name you can see how my mum navigated the system with a stage 4 diagnosis.
Take care ,
Court
