Hi, I’m new to this so please bear with me!
I had a colonoscopy on 2912/21 and was told I had cancer, it’s very low down, can feel it when going to the toilet and sitting down, so I’m assuming it’s rectal?
I had an MRI on the 7/1/22 followed by a CT scan this morning, where I was told the results would take up to 2-4 weeks.
I’ve heard nothing from the MDT yet.
im just wondering what peoples experience of diagnosis to treatment is?
how long did you have to wait to find out what stage your cancer was and when did treatment start?
Thank you
Hi ShellGG
i had the same as you if you click on my name you can read my bio. It was within two weeks each appointment. Colonoscopy was around June and my Operation was Aug 4th. I had a nurse I could call to talk to each time I was referred to different dept.
Do you have a named nurse from the colonoscopy?
I found them so helpful.
Give them a ring.
I said that I was planning a trip. My team meet Fridays so I gad to wait two weeks after my endoscopy.
I wasn’t told the stage until after the op and biopsy.
Ann
