After the colonoscopy which was done friday .7.01.22 i was informed by the nurse that there is a 3cm suspected malignant tumor in my rectum. I was so devastated and tears just flowed from my eyes. I was told that a tissue sample was taken and will be send for biopsy. Tuesday 11 december i had my mri pelvis. I am so worried and unable to sleep since friday . Is a 3cm malignant tumour bad? Or has it spread or is it aggressive?please do reply if anybody here has had a 3cm tumor. Many thanks and regards to all. Godbless
Hi Martinherts ,my wife will be with me so she will take notes.
Good morning Wil66
Ive been following your progress. Hang in there.
I had an enormous list of questions and my consultant talked for thirty minutes taking us through every procedure in detail.
Every question I had in my head he answered. I was amazed. I hope you get the same experience. Just in case jot down some questions before your appointment.
My husband asked a question which I wasn’t interested in. It was funny though I had two builders a plumber and a mason talking about my plumbing. Still makes me smile now.
Good luck
Ann
That’s the way.
well. I’ll tell the scenario……..
Mr Randall explained everything in fine detail then asked any questions? My Hubby being a builder and interested in the work said .” Will you remove the tumour entering through the anus ?”
“No” Mr R then became very animated and leaned over me to go into detail with enthusiasm exactly what and how he was going to remove it gesturing with his hands key hole then incision then lift out the bowel and get his hand in and pull it out.
My Hubby looked very impressed, I was stunned then realised they were just talking about access and plumbing.
Hilarious apart from I had too much detail
Good Luck
Ann
Hi Wil66. The chemoradiation stopped the blood in my poo and my stools also ‘thickened’ in size and were less pencil like. In my head I decided that the poo aggravated the tumour as it past over it and made it bleed and they had to be skinny to get past it but when it shrank they were thicker and got past more easily so no blood!? As you can tell I’m not medically trained! x
