Hi my mam was diagnosed with bowel cancer with a large tumour in her large bowel and a small growth in her small bowel at the beginning of December - she ended up in hospital after falling and they found the cancer as her system was all blocked up because of the growth in the small intestine..  After some weeks in hospital and mam taking the decision not to have an operation with very strong medical advice that this would be more risky for her than the cancer she is back home. We have got support for her mobility issues but need to chase up GP surgery for support with the cancer. Not sure what sort of support is available so would be good to know what others are getting and who from.  Mam enjoys her food but we have been keeping to the same soft food that she could eat in hospital - mash, soup and porridge.  Any ideas on what we could vary this with - whilst avoiding her getting blocked up again?
