I have just joined. My husband was diagnosed in July. He had a stoma fitted which he finds difficult to cope with. He has just finished his chemo and next week has a 9 -12 hour operation. We are scared and the thought of just leaving him to go through this on his own is unbearable. He will be in intensive care for 4 days and then another 2 weeks in hospital. Just so worried.
Hi ,
We will be here to support you through this . The only way I could process it was to focus on them being cancer free .
My mum actually found the staff in intensive care excellent and took such good care of her . It was back when she could have visitors but she was well enough to talk etc . Make sure he has an extended phone charger so you can communicate.
Take care ,
