Hello to everyone, big love and hugs to everyone who is and has gone through bowel cancer.
I was diagnosed a couple of years ago when my appendix went, histology came back with two different cancers in my appendix and had spread to my lymph nodes.
Was all a big shock but after two big ops, one being right colorectal surgery then eight months of oxy-cap I am still here yay.
Im now in remission, recovery is slow but trying to get better all the time.
For any of you facing the same I wish you all the love and hugs I can and know you’ll get through this. It is so daunting and life changing but I think deep down we all have inner strength, plus all the doctors and nurses are angels and are always there for us to help with recovery and questions.
I am wondering if anyone else is suffering with cancer related fatigue and how you cope?
well all the best to everyone and I wish you all a good festive time

and it was good to read that you’re doing well. As you say it’s a big op and it can take time to rebuild both mentally and physically. I enjoy walking so used to try and get out everyday even I it was only to the end of the road and back and then try and go a little further each day. Also a little nap can help if needed - just listen to your body.
Ive attached a link to the Macmillan page about fatigue which may give you a few ideas?

Please keep posting and let us know how you’re getting on?
Take care
