Well I never thought I’d be joining a cancer group but I’m here. Newly diagnosed

  • Welcome

Difficult days for sure . Have you got a treatment plan yet or are they still gathering information together ?

Bowel cancer caught early has a good outcome . Kareno62 always advises people to avoid random Google searches and stick to reliable sources. The NHS also has a lot of patient information on bowel cancer . Do you know if it is rectal or colon cancer ?

Lots of sharing going on here and people are great at reducing the fear in the early days .

Ask anything you like or join in any thread .

    Take care ,

  • Welcome but sorry you got the diagnosis, lots of good advice already for you. Now is the worse time whilst waiting for a plan, good luck and keep in  touch xx

  • Hi Adorablehuney,

Just wanted to welcome you too but so sorry you find yourself here.  As others have said the waiting for results, meetings etc before a plan is in place is the worst time.  Once you have a plan you will honestly feel a bit better - hard to believe, I know.

Ask anything, there's always someone who has been there, done/had that.

    Best wishes,
