Hello all. I had prostate cancer 8 years ago (had radical prostatectomy) and have recently been diagnosed with bowel cancer. I've had a colonoscopy, MRI scan and CT scan and am awaiting results and details of my treatment. I'm pleased to have found this forum!
Hi Ducati and a warm welcome from me too. The waiting for scans and results can be very stressful but please stay away from google and things will honestly feel a bit better once you have a treatment plan in place.
Please keep posting and we’ll help and support you through the next stages
Take care

Hi Ducati,
A warm welcome from me too, so sorry you find yourself here, but glad you've found us. The early days of waiting for results, tests etc is very hard, once a plan is in place you will feel a bit better - honestly.
Ask anything there's always someone around to answer or just chat.
Best Wishes

Thank you for all the messages of support and encouragement.
Following a MDT meeting I've been assigned a consultant surgeon and will be given an appointment to see him. They also want me to have another MRI scan because they've noticed something on my liver, although the nurse said it was nothing to worry about. Hope not!
Good wishes to all.
Good news things are moving along, my consultant said when i asked why i wasn’t having an mri is that a CT scan shows all but the MRI is the Zoom lense so they are wanting to look more close at the liver, hope the nurse is right and it’s nothing to worry about, please keep us updated
Linda
Hi Ducati. I had exactly the same and it was/is a haemangioma. They are harmless cysts in the liver which are very common and most people go through life never knowing that they have them unless they have a scan like this x
Thanks, Ann.
I had a meeting with my surgeon and nurse today and I will have to wait until at least the end of January for a date for the op. As I have had prostate surgery in the past the scarring it left will make my colon op more difficult, and keyhole surgery will probably not be possible. I have been told to expect a stoma.
I've got an MRI scan on my liver next Tuesday.
Good luck, Ann, and to everyone else on this journey.
