  • Hi Jen 4,

A warm welcome to the forum from me, you’ll find lots of support and advice here from people at many stages of their cancer journey.

If you ‘click’ on the icon next to the users name you can see their journey so far if they’ve updated their profile.

Ask anything or just have a rant, there will always be someone who can give advice and listen to youBlush.

    Take Care,

Hi Jen. I’m new here too. Like L16 I was diagnosed almost four weeks ago. It’s been just over two weeks since my surgery.

Iv not posted on here before but I have found that joining the group and reading the threads has helped immensely. It’s great to know that you are not alone throughout this journey.

    Em xx

  • Hi Emsy by date our journeys so far similar, i’ve had biopsy’s back and requiring chemotherapy, would be good to keep connected

We certainly do have a similar journey. How are you doing after the surgery??

MDT for me is Wednesday this week so I guess I shall find out by Friday regarding any further treatment. I have asked them to call me rather than wait for a face to face appointment.

it’s great that your results are back already. Have they said when you might start the chemo? How are you feeling ?

    xx

  • Hi the actual MDT for me is this Wed too bit consultant saw me friday ( not oncologist) abs told me the results was T3  he said no lymph’s but there was cells in a thing similar to lymph  margins were clear abs blood vessels near this stray thing were clear too

Reading other peoples journeys has been a great help. I couldn’t even say the word ‘cancer’ until after the surgery and joining this group has certainly helped me reach some form of ‘acceptance’ of this pesky disease. Cancer is the biggest head f*#k of anyones life!!!!!

I haven’t seen my consultant yet and no one has mentioned whether I may or may not need chemo so I have no idea what they are going to say on Weds. I’m not sure I asked the right questions as i think I shut down as a coping mechanism therefore I possibly didn’t obtain the information required.

Are your friends and family supportive?? X

  • I feel like you i find it easier to open up on here, i struggle to talk to family and friends and am holding details from friends, i don’t want to be defined as a cancer victim by them and do t do sympathy well.

im a nurse myself but this environment is all new. what part of country are you ?

  • i do hope that you do y even need further treatment it does happen x
