Love to hear your journey if have had similar
Thankyou
Hi and welcome to the board. Mine was 4cm but shrank to 1cm after chemoradiotherapy. Size does not matter! You will have scans to ascertain how far the tumour has grown into the bowel wall and to see if there is any spread then the specialists will meet to decide on a treatment plan for you. If you click on my name then you can see my treatment to date.
Bowel cancer is very treatable so please keep posting and we’ll help and support you through it
Take care

Monty123 This is the hardest part of your journey .The waiting I had a Tumour on my bowl .My consultant just just cut the tumour out and saw an other and decided to cut
that as I had more bowel than I need.
Double loop Stoma.+hernia than prolapse
My Consultant said I was a Bye One .Get 2 free .
1year later and I am back to normal Feeling and looking great So there light at the end of the tunnel...
Did you see the Stoma Name,a page Artsie put on The Twins were made for me All the best x Alaine
Hi Monty123
I was told I had a 5cm tumour at hepatic flexure When it was removed it was actually 4.5cm
as others will tell you and I am learning ( with relief). It is not the size but how far it has penetrating into the bowel / colon wall and any associated spread. Only the histology post op will give you most of the answers.
there seem to be more and more items of significance these days not just the TNM staging but TIL, tumour budding , lyphocytic invasion, degree ( if any of) lymph and vascular invasion to name just a few. They all contribute to the bigger picture of staging and future Tx if any.
just remember all the waiting is the worst !!!
good luck and keep us posted. :)
Hi Monty123
I was picked up in the Bowel screening. I saw it and they said it was big. Mine was contained though so don’t worry too much about size. There’s amazing treatment for Bowel cancer. The toughest part is waiting for the treatment plan. Good luck with it. Treat yourself to whatever feels right.
best wishes

Now that sounds absolutely perfect. Retail therapy and make up.I needed some perfume before op I said to my hubby I’m not allowed flowers so thought Chanel would leave a nice aroma. Ha ha he bought it in first visit. If I need to go in again. Jo malone. Take care

Wow. Now that’s exactly what’s needed. I love the original. Lime mandarin body cream. It’s just so addictive and glorious on the skin. I’ve tried the perfume but it didn’t last on me. My first try was bought for me by my daughter in law. I spread it on like butter, ran out , went to replace. Got a shock. Use it sparingly now. I think you should bathe in the stuff.
Best wishes
