I just wanted to say hello to the group and share my experience. Back in August, I had a colon polyp removed, after having had a biopsy taken a few weeks earlier. I had not heard anything back from the hospital and assumed all was okay. Although not hearing anything did make me a little concerned, so I tried to chase it up.  It took me some time to get through to the right person to help me, but when I did I was told that my case had been referred to the complex polyp team and had been sent for a second opinion to another trust and that this could take another month. I was shocked and scared. Friends and family didn't want to discuss or talk about this with me, just saying wait for the results but my head was all over the place. I was contacted by a Macmillan nurse who gave me contact details and names of people who I could contact should I need to talk or have any questions. Then I found this forum. I have read all the information and feel so much better about things. I am still waiting to hear from the hospital but all the stress and anxiety I had has settled. I'm starting a new job on Thursday, and feel that I will be able to handle any news I receive moving forward. Thank you so much, it is so important to share experiences. Thank you all. PS Hope this all makes sense, this is all very new to me!
