Hi I'm new to this chat I had chemoradiotherapy for 5 weeks starting last January I had my surgery in May for stage 3 low rectal cancer unfortunately I'm not able to have a rejoin so I have my stoma for life now and all in all its not so bad I did pick up a couple of Infections in my bottom where my wound is and that still hasn't healed yet I'm at 1cm so not so bad iv had my wound packed and dressed that didn't work very well then I had suction vac on for over 2 weeks then went back to getting packed and dressed my first bloods are due on Friday so I'm keeping fingers crossed I'm ok
Hi and a warm welcome to the board. You sound to be doing really well. The wounds from APRs do seem to take a bit of healing but hopefully you’re top side of it now

Thank you so much off to my dr this afternoon to have a wound check then seeing consultant Friday and have my first bloods done sometimes I wonder if I'm ever going to sit down comfortably again but on the plus side im here and my sons still have a mam
