Hi and I’m sorry to hear that you’re not feeling too great. I don’t know if it’s normal but I felt worse on day 2 and then developed ileus (severe vomiting). I don’t know how long the anaesthetic stays in your system but that may also be wearing off so you’re starting to feel some discomfort. Please mention to the nurses how you’re feeling. They can adjust your pain meds or if it’s something like a discomfort in your chest after keyhole, this can often be eased by peppermint tea.
Please don’t suffer in silence - you’ve had a big op and are bound to feel a bit battered and weak. Tell the nurses how you feel and don’t expect too much too soon
Hope things start to improve for you soon
Take care

Hi
I think what you are feeling is normal. You're doing really well if you're managing to post on here; I was still a bit like a zombie 2 days after surgery. My advice is take all the pain relief on offer and take one day at a time. Everyday gets easier; I am 2 weeks post surgery, I was discharged on day 5. The pain reduces everyday and being as active as you can but also resting lots will help. Apart from the soreness around my stoma I sm pretty much pain free now!
Hang in there and try and stay positive- it will get easier.
Take care
