Hi I'm new here and hoping to get some advice on how to support my brother whose wife has just finished her first round of chemo. He is very reluctant to talk about it to anyone and consequently has become the sole bearer of care. How can I get him to open up to someone and ask for help?
Hi SA. Everyone deals with a cancer diagnosis differently and your sister in law might have asked your brother to keep things low key as she might not want a lot of fuss and attention. You could encourage your brother to post on here or on the Carers Only forum. You could also encourage him to ring the nurses on here who would be happy to advise him both emotionally and practically on 0808 808 00 00
Hope you’re able to help him find any support that he needs
Karen
