  • Hi court

feeling, a bit up and down, I am positive, and keeping happy but the happy bit, to be honest, feels like I have to do that to keep everybody else happy!,  physically my wounds are healing nicely, my insides still feel like they have been churned by a mixer lol, on the whole okayGrinThumbsup,I have, for the moment put te chemo out of my head to stop me worrying about something I have no idea will be like, reading tips and advice has been extremely helpful though.

I have surgery Tuesday apprehensive and concerned what will be after x

  • Hi .  You are certainly in the best company here.   I had my op 7 weeks ago (right hemi) and have to be honest that I came through that much better than I expected.  You’ll be fine and need to concentrate on getting better.  Just get plenty of rest and help - and do take any help on offer.   I’m still getting the kids to do the dishes and hoovering, even I have to re do it myself when they are out RoflRofl.

  • Lol I know exactly what you mean!! Joy I think I'm doing well after op, my insides still feel they are not in the right place lol, thank you for making me laugh, just had date for oncologist 2nd September, so on to the next step!! X

    1. Hi, I think the waiting is just the worse, I'm not going to lie it's a bit shit, but for me the nurses, the health care workers and the domestic staff all of them were great seeing me through it, itStuck out tongue closed eyesas hard because of the no visitors rule, because I felt like I was going through everything on my own, so they were a godsend. Tell them if you're in pain so They can adjust your painkillers, hospital food is Stuck out tongue closed eyesbebe prepered for mashed potato, Yoghurt and jelly! Adjust you bed too,i was sitting up a bit with my knees bent, the bed will go to that shape, I found that helped me to be comfortable ish.  If you feel sick, they'll give you anti sickness meds. I'm 5 weeks post op, and am surprised how well Ive coped and how OK I feel. Good luck for Tuesday let me know how you are if you need to ask me anything ask away. It's a very scarey time for you right now xx
