Hello .
I’m hoping you can help me.
My Dad is 82 and has bowel Cancer , found this out 2 weeks ago . His consultants nurse rang today to say he needs an MMR scan because they’ve found something on his liver .
My question has the bowel spread the Cancer to the Bowel ? many thanks Dawn Anslow
Hi . I had the same scenario when I was diagnosed and had an MRI to check but it turned out to be a harmless cyst called a hemangioma. These are apparently very common in the liver and you can be born with them and be none the wiser unless you were to have a scan.
Everything crossed that this is the case for your dad too

Hi Flumps,
I had an MRI as I had an indeterminate on my liver. I've had several different scans and it still presents as an indeterminate. The team even had another hospital look at the scans for a second opinion. They think it's a lesion and nothing to worry about. Apparently they're very common. Hopefully your dad's is the same. Try not to worry too much.
