Hi . It’s not listed as a side effect of chemoradiotherapy but there has been posts before about this. I have suffered with my hips since starting treatment in 2016 but I was having a bit of a problem beforehand which might have been linked to a fall I had on black ice 18 months earlier. Having said that one of my scans mentioned a hairline fracture in the sacral area but the radiotherapy consultant said she’d never come across radiotherapy causing that before so nothing further was thought about it. I’ve since found out that my scan jn 2017 mentioned that my hips were mildly osteoarthritic but this was never mentioned to me. My hips have got progressively worse and I’m now waiting for a hip replacement referral.
Hopefully yours will just be due to the radiotherapy causing a bit of inflammation and will settle down but it might be worth asking them to check your scan for any problems if it’s still an issue.
