Hi just been diagnosed with colon cancer waiting to have CD CT scan to see if it’s spread then having op to remove mass and appendics at same time, just feel numb it’s not really sunk in yet.
Hi and a warm welcome to the board. Yes the waiting for scans,results, meetings etc. is very stressful but once you have a plan in place then things will honestly feel a bit better. Stay away from google - it is out of date and downright scary in places - stay on here and/or the bowel cancer uk board and you can ask anything you like.
Bowel cancer is notoriously slow growing but very treatable. Once all your scans are back then the MDT (a meeting involving all the different specialists that might be involved) will meet and decide on a treatment plan for you.
It can take a while to sink in but please keep posting and we’ll help you through this
