Thank you for having somewhere to go Macmillan.
I tried convincing the consultant that I just had a problem with iron absorption but he wasn’t having any!!! I met my tumour face to bottom during colonoscopy, a green and yellow alien clinging onto my colon walls. I told him, “that’s not my bottom!!!!!” He said he would talk to me later…………
think I might be able to express myself better in a blog.

Hi Court
thank you for reply.
I started writing my memoirs, a work in progress; a vomit edition they call it!!!
I read your intro and I’m so in awe of your mum.
I’m at the start of hopefully a very long journey, even while questioning quality of life.
No symptoms, like your mum, Always been thank ful for my good health,
I have a CT scan in two weeks then a meeting on 10 August to discuss care plan. Im still in shock and denial, hoping the consultant who reasoned with me to even go through with the endoscopes had misdiagnosed.
As I begin to navigate this site, it’s clear we are not alone. Already the NHS have shown their caring embrace to yet another.
thanks again

I have never heard that before but it sounds great ! My mum would like to do that and has started a bit ! I found a company that puts peoples lives stories together for a present and though about it for her !
She has endured a lot but I think going into the process from a strong position regarding her health was a positive . It also turns out you can function quite well with several resected organs . She is hoping to get out on the kayak later !
I hope your scans bring good news and it’s contained . In terms of the NHS we have a debit we could never repay . They were diligent and thorough .
My mum has always employed a health denial in some respects . She faced every procedure , dealt with it but rarely talked about it . In fact she was saying last week she feels some of her age group are very focused on minor ailments and finds it hard to listen to in the backdrop of what she saw others having to go through in hospital .
Take care ,
Court
