My husband is due to start chemo on 26th july, becuse of other issues with heart, they are doing alternativ5e chemo and not CAPOX or FOLFOX
On the form sent through regarding side affects etc etc, the box indicated Disease Control/Palliative, is this correct or could the oncologist made of
a simple mistake
I cant make the call on his behalf and he has not called them
Hi
Welcome to the forum . It would be quite common to use an alternative chemo if they don’t think their heart condition would tolerate it . There is some information on the NICE guidelines .
It would only be palliative if there is still disease present . They would most certainly tell him if that’s the case !

It’s maybe just a form filling issue. They are inclined to be very , very honest with you if you have a spread .

Phew . What a shame . What is it they say you make an error in every 2000 tasks you do !
However it gives you a big fright in these situations ! You have been very understanding!
But delighted all is still good !
