Hi All,
It's been awhile since I last wrote on this forum. We actually are just carrying on with life as normal as possible. My wife still has stage 4 rectal cancer but has not stopped us from doing normal day to day things as before. She is strong and fit. We are not in denial but have decided we take things as they come.
Our whole family got Covid, but funnily my wife did not suffer at all, I was the one who suffered the most with the symptoms. I was off work for a full two and half weeks. My wife had two days of symptoms and she felt better. I was so relieved for that.
Anyway I will still be on and off the forum if anything major happens, but for now we are good mentally and physically.
Regards
Stephen
Hi Hatariforce
Great to hear from you ! You have both successfully found a great way to live a good life despite a difficult diagnosis and that is wonderful . I am very pleased for you .
When I say to people who have just been diagnosed that we have had many , many good times since my mum’s diagnosis I don’t think people believe in the early days it is possible. I certainly did not when my mum was diagnosed. But where possible we learnt to make each day count ! Some fails along the way as we are all human .
A lovely post and you know where we are but I wish you a wonderful summer doing normal things . Just great !
