my husband was diagnosed with colon cancer on 25th May 2021. He’s had his MRI Scan on Thursday 17th June after the original appointment was cancelled due to him being admitted into hospital  to have a colon stent inserted because of severe stomach pains where the cancer is. The MDT Team were meeting on 11th June. We still haven’t heard a thing from anyone. He’s getting frustrated & he’s said he’s going back to work on Wednesday if he’s not heard anything from anyone. I’ve not got a phone number to ring to find anything out about what’s going on. He said the nurse gave him a phone number for the MDT team & Macmillan. Well, I’ve got paper work but no numbers. Which he now blames me for losing. Then he turns round & says, it’s ok just let me die. It’s so frustrating. We know this is going to be hard. How much longer before we know what’s going on? Even our Doctor didn’t seem to know anything

  • Hi Bake25,

Good to see you have joined the group and welcome, i know its very frustrating and stressful waiting for results and answers but my thoughts are that its won't change the end result so try and relax, personally i tried to go fishing where you could think of nicer things like catching big trout !!

Good luck with your your journey

  • , I suggest you ring the hospital concerned and ask for the collecterol secretary. If you don't know which one, just start with any!! Hopefully then you will get to know your nurse specialist, and can speak to him/her. Or maybe ask your GP if they know who you will be under and then chase them. Good luck!!

I’ve got a new fishing rod. Thank you for the welcome. It is frustrating, especially for my husband. He just wants to start treatment. We will get there in the end. Hope you catch a big trout too
