Right hemicolectomy over a year ago. I’ve had a follow up bloods and scan and I’ve been told everything all clear. I’ve not had a colonoscopy as I’m not deemed as urgent and there is a back log. I’m actually in a real panic as I’m feeling tired and bloated

So I think it’s come back. Any advice please.

  • Hi . Unfortunately the fear of reoccurrence is always there but does lessen over time. I’ve not had a coloniscopy since my diagnosis in 2016 and all my follow ups have been CEA checks and scans. I was referred for a follow up colonoscopy last June and finally saw the consultant in Friday who is going to arrange it. Do you think it might be stress and worry causing the bloating and therefore you’re not sleeping well? I’ve attached a link to an article about life after cancer treatment which you might like to take a look at?
