Hello,
4 years ago I had both breast and bowel cancer (2 diff cancers, can you believe that!!) I get scans every 6 months. Always a scary time. My most recent CT came back with 2 ‘suspicious’ liver lesions that I’ve had to go for an MRI and PET for. Awaiting results - always the worst thing. I’m only 33 =(
Welcome
Although I have to say I am terribly sad to do so . You have endured a lot already . However the more encouraging aspect is the liver is notorious for benign nodules and hopefully the PET scan will rule them out . If it is a spread there are centres of excellence across the U.K. for the liver who are highly specialised. There is also radio frequency ablation options . All come with criteria but encouraging just the same .
Very stressful for you as they gain a better picture of what is going on but to put it into context my mum has seen off over ten liver mets so I hope it gives you some encouragement as you wait for more information.
Take care ,

Hello,
Just wanted to update that the PET came back as NED. Nothing to be seen. Which is amazing. They’re still going to pass me along to the liver team to see if they think the 2 lesions (7mm and 10mm) should be biopsied, but I’ll take this as over cautious protocol given my history. So glad I didn’t light up like a Christmas tree!!
Phew , happy day for sure . So delighted for you especially when everything in your life is going in such a good direction. You deserved the good news !
Enjoy

Aw Victoria, I’m so sorry for all you have been through but glad you’re still here! Modern medicine is amazing. Fingers and toes crossed for you that the chemo is obliterating that nasty beast!
Welcome
Gosh you have endured a lot too ! So sorry this has popped up again but sincerely hope it’s the last of the micro disease. I know for my mum the first five years were intense batting the mets back down but eventually eased off ! Good scanning has clearly got them whilst they are small too but it’s exhausting for you . Just to encourage you my mum has not had to have any treatment for the last five years .
All the very best with your next scan ! I am holding out for good news for you .
