Hello, my dad has stage 4 Bowel cancer which has spread to his liver. He’s 80, my mum cares for him she’s 83. He is struggling so badly with itching, my mum covers his legs in Eurax. He can’t sleep and keeps her awake too.
Is there anything else that can help? He is so sad, if he could get some relief, I feel it would lighten his suffering so very much and give my poor mum some sleep.
thanks for your help
You might like to try our helpline for some guidance . I think it can happen when his liver is involved . Has his GP made any suggestions ? I think they can give some medication for it from what I have read but our helpline staff may have more information. 0808 808 0000.
It sounds very uncomfortable so I hope he gets a solution soon .

Thank you, GP was involved but says not a lot they can do. But my dad can’t carry on how he is. I’ll try the helpline too
Totally agree . You could also speak to his team at the hospital . Or ask for a referral to a dermatologist. They might be able to guide you . I think the helpline will be able to direct you .
Good he has you advocating .
