Hi, I am 2 years post bowel cancer which included an extended right hemicolectomy followed by chemotherapy. Since then, I have gradually regained my full bowel function and can generally eat most things. I have had a few episodes of prolonged abdominal and bowel issues lasting several weeks such as bloating, constipation, wind, mild abdominal pain. More recently the symptoms have lasted over 4 weeks, which has led me getting in touch with my colectoral team and GP. All blood tests have come back normal, my recent cea was below 1 and CT scan in June came bk with NED. I am awaiting my Fit test result. My gp has prescribed bowel relaxant and thinks it may be linked to diet, bug etc. I know certain foods like pasta, especially tortellini doesn't agree with me and takeaways, which seems to have triggered my last episode. I'm hoping it passes but I'm also fearful it could be recurrence. Does anyone have any similar issues post surgery and 2 years on from surgery? I've noticed stress doesnt help which may be contributing to my symptoms. Please share experiences?
