Hi Everyone

I had a right side of my colon removed in May this year, and I was fortunate enough to not have to have any chemotherapy.

I have however, over the last 5 days experienced a dull pain/stitch type symptoms in my left side lower back and side.

Has anyone else experienced anything such as this and What this might be?

Many thanks x

  • Hi

I’ve  had a different surgery, as mine was to remove my rectum, but I wonder if you’ve seen this post about issues post right hemicolectomy? I’m not sure if it might be helpful for you, but it involves comprehensive discussions about post surgery issues some have experienced

Your surgery is pretty recent, and healing can take quite some time as everything settles down inside. I don’t think any of us could say for sure what your pain could be, but I’d suggest checking in with your team for some  reassurance if you remain worried about it.
